Christian Corrales
Community Representative
About
Hello! My name is Christian and I'm an one of the community representatives. I was born and raised in Hemet, CA and completed my undergraduate degree with a major in Neuroscience and minor in Statistics at UCLA. My roles within LMSA include planning and organizing various events such as a lecture series on Latinx health, involvement in immigrant health week, and an offrenda for Día de los Muertos. At DGSOM, I'm also a part of the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) where I am one of the co-chairs for the Diversity and Outreach Committee. I’m passionate about improving the relationships between the community and medical institutions. My current medical specialty and research interest is in neurology, particularly in neurodegenerative diseases. My passions outside the classroom and lab include exploring outdoor environments via many means, from cycling, hiking, and cross country running. If you have any interest in pursuing research at UCLA or anything about MSTP or MD-PhD programs, please don’t hesitate to reach out via my email.
